Fourth Wing Dragon Quiz
Seven questions. About two minutes. The engine reads your answers across six traits and returns a dragon colour, a tail type, a rarity and a bond strength, then tells you exactly how it got there.

What the quiz is
This is a short, separate quiz rather than a cut-down version of the main game. It asks about the same things the valley does, one decision at a time, and it resolves to a single card: a colour, a tail, a rarity, a bond strength and a dragon name.
It is built for the reader who wants an answer in two minutes rather than ten. If you want the scenes, the consequences and the run ledger, the full game is the other door.
One thing it is not: it is not the official Dragonkind experience, and it does not reproduce anything from it. That experience is operated by Yarros Ink and lives at dragonkind.com.
The six traits the engine reads
| Trait | What it pushes toward |
|---|---|
| Courage | Nerve held under pressure. Leans black, and red when it comes with temper. |
| Instinct | Trust in a read you cannot explain. Leans orange and blue. |
| Cunning | Reading the ground before you move. Leans green, and brown for endurance. |
| Loyalty | Keeping faith with the people you walked in with. Leans blue. |
| Aggression | Going straight at the problem. Leans red hard, and pushes away from brown. |
| Patience | Waiting for the right moment rather than the first one. Leans black, green and iridescent. |
How a result is built
Answers move traits
Every answer adds to some traits and sometimes takes away from others. There are no wrong answers, only different distributions.
Each colour adds its own lean
A colour score starts from a base disposition, adds its lean on your traits, adds any affinity the scene authored, then adds a seeded variance so a replay is worth playing.
The tail rolls separately
The tail is scored on its own axis, so a rare colour with a common tail is a normal result. Feathertail is gated to juvenile and young-dragon scenes.
Rarity follows the margin
Rarity comes from how far ahead the winning score is, plus flags and the day conditions. It is a game ladder, not a book ranking.
The card resolves
You get a colour, a tail, a rarity, a bond strength, a temperament list and a name, plus a code that reproduces the result.
How to read your result
Start with the colour, but do not stop there. On this site the colour describes how your choices read: nerve, loyalty, cunning, temper, instinct or endurance. The tail describes how the run would fight if it had to. Rarity describes how unusual the combination is inside the engine.
Then read the canon pages beside it. The colour page explains what the books actually say about your colour, including the parts that contradict the reputation. The tail page explains what your tail does and why the colour-to-tail table you may have seen elsewhere is not a rule.
If the result annoys you, replay. The seeded variance exists so that a second run is not a rerun of the first, and the engine is deliberately built so that one dominant trait does not decide the colour on its own.
Where your result sits in the books
Spoilers: Fourth Wing
This section contains material from later in the series.
Once you have finished Fourth Wing, the named dragons attached to each colour become readable: Tairn and Codagh for black, Sgaeyl for blue, Teine, Feirge and Cuir for green, Cath, Deigh and Sliseag for red, Marbh, Glane and Baide for orange, Aotrom, Chradh, Aimsir and Fuil for brown.
The registry holds the full records, with riders behind gates that match each record. Nothing about your quiz result is affected by them: the engine decides on traits, not on which dragons are famous.

Questions people actually ask
Seven questions, about two minutes, no account. Your answers move six traits, and the engine turns those into a dragon colour, a tail type, a rarity and a bond strength.
In the books, the dragon decides, and what each dragon values is described as subjective. Here the engine decides from your answers. Treat the result as a reading of your choices, not a prophecy.
No. The official Dragonkind experience is operated by Yarros Ink and lives at dragonkind.com. This quiz is our own, built on this site's own engine and scenes.
Each answer adds to six traits. Every colour carries a small lean toward some of those traits, plus a seeded variance, and the highest score wins. Tail and rarity are scored the same way, separately.
Yes and no. The same answers with the same seed resolve identically, because the engine is deterministic. Replay with a fresh seed and the variance shifts, which is the point of replaying.
No. Nothing on this site asks for an email, and your results are stored on your own device in My Record.
