What this quiz does that most of them do not
Most dragon quizzes ask seven questions and hand back a name. This one shows its working: which three of your answers carried the result, what each colour is stated to be in the books, and why the tail type came out the way it did.
It reads six traits from your answers, the same six the full game uses, and then weighs them against the same colour and tail fields. The difference is scope, not method. Seven questions cannot separate you as sharply as nine decisions in a valley, so the result is a reading rather than a verdict, and the page says so.
Colour and tail are decided separately, on purpose
The books do not tie tail type to colour, and the in-world field guide describes tails as a matter of choice and need rather than inheritance. So the two are scored independently here. If you were hoping for a single tidy answer, the honest version is two answers.
Rarity is our mechanic, not the books
The tier this quiz reports measures how narrowly your answers separated, and nothing else. It is not a ranking from the books, which do not tier dragons at all.
